I started off with a solid foundation, earning a BSBA in Finance with a minor in Economics. It seemed like a ticket to financial stability. But oh, how the world works in mysterious ways. 2009 was a rough year. I faced Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, a wake-up call that turned my world upside down. This unexpected twist pushed me onto a path of resilience and learning.
Fast forward to 2020, an inheritance came my way. You’d think I was finally hitting a lucky streak, right? This windfall helped me tackle another round of debt. It was a golden opportunity to wipe the slate clean. But, of course, there was more to learn on this rollercoaster ride.
2023 arrived with another financial hurdle. I turned to Debt Resolution to put my finances in order. This experience was humbling and insightful, reinforcing that life often comes with unexpected turns. Partnering with a resolution company’s lender in 2024 for a Debt Consolidation loan was my tactical move to streamline payments and relieve stress.
Through all these ups and downs, there are two big lessons I’ve taken to heart. First up: always know where your money is going. Keep an eye on those dollars and cents. It’s the small leaks that sink the biggest ships. Second: building the right mindset about money is crucial. It’s not just about earning — it’s about planning wisely and staying prepared.
This financial journey has taught me resilience, the importance of community support, and the power of a strategic plan. Moving forward, I’m embracing these lessons to steer my financial ship with purpose and confidence.
I look forward to this adventure that I will be sharing with you called cashplanmaster.com. And I look forward to teaching you the lessons I learned through the school of hard know-where “I got my Ph.D. in DUMB” ~Dave Ramsey.
Here’s to your learning experience and my teaching those wide and varied lessons.
